Thousands of Kentuckians were still without power Monday morning after high winds swept across the state Sunday.

Kentucky Utilities spokesman Cliff Feltham said 31,000 KU customers across the state don't have power. Most of those people are west of Interstate 65.

Feltham said it could be a day or two before power is restored for all those customers.

About 75,000 KU customers were without power at one point, including 5,000 in Lexington.

Feltham said power has been restored to nearly all Lexington residents.

More than 230,000 Louisville Gas & Electric customers were without power Monday morning, according to LG&E's automated telephone line for outage information.
